We've had several pairs of these and they keep kids dry and are a lot warmer than wellies. Obviously they're not waterproof as high up as wellies but do a very good job.

Probably my best purchase this winter for my son. He loves them as keep his feet warm and dry. He was complaining of cold feet before getting these. Now he is happy to go out in any weather!
