The sides are too flexible, so it doesn't stay as a hat, rather as a cap or something. The ventilation is bad - even in windy weather, if it is hot - it will be hot, not enough air coming through. I had to reattach the ties using another knot - at some point the original knot
untied on both sides.

So happy with this! Great for light drizzle if caught out but I haven't tested it in proper rain. Fantastic for sun, great brim - doesn't cover your shoulders but will cover your neck and face. Love the neck strap, it's adjustable around the head so you can tighten it, and it
fits well! Make sure to double check the sizing listed and you won't have an issue.

Bought it for fishing offshore in wet conditions. I experienced rain and lots of salt spray and it worked just fine. A bit stiffer brim would have been nice in the wind because the brim tends to either flip up or be pushed down over your eyes. I'll probably use it for hikin
g as well because its light and very crushable - easy to take along.
