Bought these for my daughter 2 years ago. She wore through the brake pad in a single summer. Tried finding a replacement, nothing available. Went into the Burlington store, and they looked but couldn't find any. I asked what I was supposed to do. They shrugged and said, "dunno
, just get some somewhere else or something." Nothing else fits. I have tried ordering multiple now. Decathlon does not support their products. I won't shop here again, and I advise you not to either. Incredibly disappointed and out $150.

Good blades, beware the brake

Generally, these skates are really good value especially for a beginner. I wore through the OEM wheels REALLY fast. I don't do any tricks or braking that would otherwise wear the wheels faster than normal (but I do blade upwards of 30km at a time); they are just a very soft
compound wheel. The wheel bearings are super slow even after a break in period. They claim ABEC-7, but they are some of the slowest bearings I've ever come across. Fist is excellent. Sizing seems to be spot on. Several other reviews suggested sizing up a half size so I did that. After a year of use, the foam has worn in, and they are a little roomy now and have the laces as snug as they will go. Now the bad: a new brake is impossible to find. I have been waiting over a year for a brake to be available and now they have even removed it from the website. These skates do not fit any other brands brake so if you are using them in an area where you need a brake be forewarned!

Great for beginners

*Have not skated in 26 years, decided to give skating a try again and these were the only boots in store (at the time) that were in my size and fit well.* The soft boot is really comfortable and well fitting which makes the ride feel so much better. The wheels hardness, he
ight and bearings is balanced for a slower speed, grippy feeling. (beginner friendly) The setup works amazingly on super smooth surfaces like in decathlon or reasonable on outdoor pavement. (very forgiving for the new skater) The boot is non removable (lining wise) and the frame is moulded to the boot. So it's pretty much a wear till it breaks and throw away non upgradeable except wheels and bearings. As a fitness skate, this is a great entry level skate. However for the price I would advise anyone with greater then beginner skill to get the Oxelo MF500. (ability to swap frame, changeable liner, replaceable parts and better value at £10 more) I believe the MF500's have the same wheels and bearings setup as the FIT500.
