Hiking Headlamp 600 Lumen - HL 900 USB V3

I have the old Trek 900 (the yellow one) and I am interested in the design differences which I'll briefly cover... Starting with the strap, which is better. thinner stretch webbing means it's less upsetting on my head and the black foam section at the front is great because

it stops the strap from sliding around on the light, meaning it's faster to put on from storage. The strap bracket is thicker and more robust which is superb! this does however mean the light is a bit harder to remove from the bracket to access for charging. Light output is very powerful! it's quite impressive and they changed the LED's to a slightly warmer color which is subtle but allows for better color rendering. The Buttons are improved and feel much more sturdy and the whole inside has a newly designed heatsink which is much higher quality. The battery holding clip is a thinner plastic which makes removing the batter slightly easier once the bracket is off but I do thing after a long use duration (5-10 years) this battery clip design will be the weak point of the light. USB-C charging is great and the 1900Mah battery is still great also! If anyone is wondering like I was, what the idea behind the AAA pack is... I realized that with 3x rechargeable AAA batteries (750Mah each) you'll actually have 2,250Mah which is something to consider for longer ventures. Lastly the only feature removed from this light that was on the Trek 900 is when the light is off and the user presses the down button "-" the Trek 900 would flash the battery charge indication, allowing you to quickly check the charge state. I'm not sure why this feature was removed but it's not a big deal anyway. Hope this helps! you won't regret owning this headlamp.

J'ai acheté ce produit hier et n'en ai fait l'usage qu'une fois dans un bois. Excellent éclairage. Un gros bémol: la notice en papier accompagnant la frontale. Pas facile à comprendre. Et le code QR ne renvoie à rien du tout. Heureusement que j'ai eu la bonne idée d'aller dans

le site Décathlon après coup et d'entrer le numéro du produit. Et même là! Je suis enfin tombé sur un commentaire accompagné d'un lien à la frontale. Eureka! Or, ce long détour aurait dû être épargné à l'acheteur que je fus.

Une bonne lampe frontale, j'apprécie son côté hybride, batterie conventionnel lorsque impossible de recharger par port USB, et recharge USB pour tout le reste. Bonne efficacité.

Really good head torch! Easy to use, lots of settings and you can use AAA battery as well as recharging the fixed battery.

I have been out on the hills with this torch. Great Beam and the boost helps. Like you can use 3x AAA batteries. Or recharge with a USB-C. But you have to take the battery out to charge the battery. Not a problem for me.

I was looking for a basic headtorch for a reasonable price and this fit perfectly. Produces enough light to walk at night and is easy to use.

A good torch with all the usual features However, the small clip which contains the battery is very weak. You have to lift it up to remove the battery to charge it and this causes the clip to crack and then break. It is such an obvious weak point, I am amazed decathlon design
