Greige means that the fabric is not dyed and is its natural colour. 
Given the significant environmental impact of dyeing, we chose to use this process on the flysheet of the tent.

Why does greige help to reduce the environmental impact?

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces wastewater from the dye baths. To reduce our environmental impact, we chose to use the dope dyeing process in which the colour pigments are added during the production of the yarn. We chose to use this process on part of the flysheet and the bedroom of this tent.

Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon that reflects the sun’s rays and blocks the light.
This keeps the tent cooler and darker.
To optimize this technology, you need to ventilate your tent at night.

The Fresh & Black technology keeps the inside of your tent cooler and darker.

This tent has a classic dome structure.
Simply fit the tent poles with the bedroom and then install the flysheet on top.
Then add the third tent pole for the storage area. 
To take down the tent, the process is the same, but in reverse.

Pitching and taking down the tent

Tent suitable for self-inflating mattresses or hiking mattresses up to 65 cm wide. 
We do not recommend using inflatable mattresses that are more than 8 cm thick in this tent.
This greatly reduces space inside the tent and increases condensation.

Mattress compatibility

To increase airflow between the bedroom and the flysheet and eliminate condensation, the tent has 1 air vent at the top, 2 mechanical air vents at the sides, and 1 inner door with a mesh upper section.

Ventilation of the tent

All our tents are lab- and field-tested to guarantee the waterproofing. 
To do this, we put the entire tent under a 200 L/h shower for 3 hours.
The flysheet is made of 2,000 mm Schmerber-rated, PU-coated polyester, and the groundsheet is made of 120 g/m² polyethylene. All the seams are sealed with thermobonded tape.

Waterproofing

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all guy ropes deployed should remain habitable with a wind speed measured at 40 km/h near the ground (Force 5).

What does my product include?

This tent was designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year). 
Continuous exposure to UV light over a period of several weeks can damage the textile component. 
Our tents are not intended to be used as patio furniture and are not designed to be kept outdoors permanently. 
To maximize the lifetime of your tent, it’s important to store it properly when not in use.
